They make a cargo deck "accessory". Screenshot is from one of their videos.

The only thing with one of those on a half ton truck you will likely exceed your payload on many models with a 900+lb motorcycle.

Without the ramp front and back cross bolted to the bed of the truck with suports, so back of ramp is still counterlevered above the tail gate when bike is loaded, still loading the tail gate on bike loading.

Plus, if your going to use this for multi state transport of the bike, want more than just tie own holding it in the bed of the truck to start with.
Hence for $3K, they need to rethink this set up, with permanent bolting of the unit to the bed of truck from and back so its not loading the tail gate, and even supports for under the bed back to frame at its bolting points to truck bed, so the front of device is not pulling up on just the bed of the truck to bend it upwards as well.

I agree it's pricey for what it is. Looking at loading the bike on, the front fender is a no-go for many Harleys on that wheel chuck. I know...criticizing, but it's a consideration.

Load-All ramps are the way I would go if I was going to use a truck loading ramp.

I inquired about the weight of their V2 long bed ramp. Installed in the truck bed, the ramp itself only weighs 270 lbs. I would suspect the short bed ramp weighs less, but ai don't know by how much.

That makes it a possibility for some 1/2 ton trucks.

I have seen other similar units loading and unloading touring Harleys, and I have seen these type units in short bed trucks. I don't happen to recognize this exact unit.
The video on their page is of loading a V-Max into a short bed truck. A V-Max is not a small or light bike. That's pretty representative that it will handle a touring model Harley.

The design doesn't appear to put much load on the tailgate. So I think you're fine with that regard.

It's a hell of a leverage load once the bike is fully up, and hanging out the rear.

Leverage both onto it's own screw drive, and onto the front mount of the bed. If either fails, it's going to be a catastrophic drop.
You're either bolting it into the bed (use good backer plates), or using the AC012 kit.

The AC012 kit uses the bed's front tie down points.

I really wouldn't be comfortable with that myself. I would not be surprised to see a tie down point tear out from the load with the bike hanging off the tail like in the above picture.

If I bolted to the bed, I'd probably use a C-channel across the bed underside, like I would if installing a gooseneck hitch. I would not count on the likes of a mere fender washer or such.

Worries about the front mounts aside, it's probably well designed and will likely work well. Boy is it expensive.

id probably mount with the actual bed bolts through the top. im sure a plate would need added to go between the bolts.

My plan would be to mount it to the bed. The C-channel is a very good idea. The whole reason doing this it to tow the truck and bike behind a motorhome. My other option is to install a hydralift on the motorhome but thats expensive also, around $12K installed.

I personally would much rather tow a truck with a bike in the bed than having the bike hanging from a rear mount. I really question the RV frame strength for those, and the impact on handling from that added weight out back. But I do confess to zero experience with them myself.
