Looking for anyone that has any experience with or seen this ramp used with a touring model in a full size short bed truck. It is made in the Netherlands by Neo-Dyne and there is one US distributor in Ohio. Seems to be well made and I've seen a few YouTube videos but my concern is the weight distribution in a short bed. There is no weight on the tailgate. There are more videos available if you search for Neo-dyne.
you dont want weight on the tailgate, theyre only rated for a couple hundred pounds anyway. there are a bunch of different lifts on the market, why are you locked in on this one?
Cut a piece of 3/4 plywood the size of the bed. The weight should be distributed evenly.

You have a valid point. So in that case I would recommend him buying/renting a trailer.
Interesting for a single use ramp. There was a recent thread on ramps and this Load All ramp was mentioned, and says the product doesn't put load on the tailgate. It's multipurpose and about the same price.
