If you are using the socket style oil filter wrench and it spins on the end of the filter, place a shop towel over the face of the socket and force it onto the filter. Usually that will prevent it from slipping on a too tight filter. If that doesn't work, time for plan B. Nothing more annoying that dealing with an oil filter that was previously installed by a Gorilla....
I've had to get creative and improvise like that before, then used a 1/2" > 3/8" adapter to get the stouter extension and handle and pushed with all my might, when it started turning I knew I was home free
I bought the oil filter wrench and started to loosen it up the bike started moving, then I put in gear and started to give it some torque to loosen up and I was concerned of it skipping around the filter but all good. Got her going , worse part is I put the filter on and I know that I did not gorilla it on there. Not my first rodeo but scary cause of the limited access space not like my 98 dyna. Thanks again for updates what to do
I did not like the filter location when HD moved it from under the tranny to the front of the engine. This is what I used to resolve that issue, and next oil change will take 10 minutes, without the 20-30 minutes to clean the unavoidable oil leaked from the filter.

Why its just two 7/16” bolts on the regulator and two Torx-45 bolts on the oil cooler.
The relo kit will be my next upgrade. I'm a bit lazy like Goose when it comes to oil changes. I shouldn't have to touch anything else and these things should be a 1 beer job or less. Let it be that so I can enjoy the 2nd and 3rd bottle.
