Hey man!
Congratulations on joining the world of motorcycle madness!!
That being said, I VEHEMENTLY recommend what others have already said.......GET YOUR CHOPS ON A SMALLER BIKE!!
The very first time I rode a bike was the day I bought my first bike......a Yamaha Virago .....600 I think.
Learned the ins and outs of riding on that for 6 months THEN bought the 81 shovelhead that I still own and ride.
That was in 1986.........and I'm still lerning things about riding.
Especially since buying my 2010 Road King.
Harleys can be weird my friend.......lots if things can go wrong if you don't know what you're doing or what to look for.
And repairs aint cheap!!
So.......do yourself a favor and start on something smaller and lighter.
But hey.......what do I know!!
Good luck!
