As for accessories, most don't do anything for me, but maybe make me choice one bike over the other. If you are into blacked out, this one may get your eye, will it increase the price? I dunno. use bike prices are a lot about curb appeal and timing, not like you can look at the exact same bike with the exact same set up and compare prices like you can on a new bike.
I was responding to your first post as you were posting second bike
Both appear to be FLHPs.
You appear to have a number of posts about looking for a bike, so you should know by now that a police bike (Vin would indicate it as a FLHP) and a Peace Office Bike (Vin would indicate it as a Shriner) are two different things.
There a number of differences like wiring, switches, etc. You will have to determine what changes were made to made it as civilian bike, and more importantly, what quality was the work.
Also, in 2009, civilian touring bikes came with the 96 motor, the FLHP a 103.
Yeah but someone looking at this bike, doesnt have or doesnt want to spend an additional 11k. I still stand by the 8500 number..
Not sure if price is right or not. But agree with sentiment. 11k is a lot more if you are paying cash , first bike,or simply don't have the money.
10k might as well be a million if you ain't got it.
Low mileage helps. But it is also 16 year old bike, with 16 year old parts. Plus current breed has really gotten into the advancements and bigger engines
Face market Sure a bunch are listed at $7k-9k but they are for sale for months. The ones that move.. even 5k miles really nice $4000 to $5,500. I know that hurts. Its a really nice bike. The values have just really plummeted. Every once in a while youll see one so low you assume its a scam but many of them are real. There was a 87 FXR with 3,000 miles on it basically all stock except for the Thunderheader that went for $3,000 just a few days ago. I also saw a 2010 RK loaded with a S&S big inch motor go for $5k it was gorgeous.
What really the cheapest.. or I should say biggest value are the Twinkie Glides. Man are they cheap.
