I have this in the general chat section thought I would repost here.

I was thinking of trading my 07 roadglide.
I would remove the trunk and turn it back to stock.
Plus trade in my 2000 wide glide or put it on consignment.

For a new 08 roadglide same color as mine.
Am I nuts? I have 10,000 mi on the RG and 11,000 on
the WG.
Oh both are paid off.
My take on trading bikes is that chasin' "improvements" is the dealers game. They love you for it & will make an "improvement" every year to keep you happy. I prefer to change bikes when I'm unhappy with my current ride. Even then I'll take time to consider fixin' what's botherin' me about one I own before I go to the time & expense of buyin' new & gettin' that one set up for me. Been happy with my FXR for 21 years............ JMHO, YMMV............

I am pretty sure there are several changes, gas tankis bigger, better radio, I think
it has the IDS, and many more.
10,000 mi is nothing I relize that, that is not why I want to trade.
This bike makes some strange sounds as of late and I just think
there will be problems in the future as a result of that!

Yes, I would think ... You're NUTS...
There isn't that much of a differance from the '07 to '08??? And 10k on is nothing -

IF it makes noise and you are leary trade it or sell it outright. If you trade it no worries about recourse.

Why keep the WG since it's a seven year old bike with only 11K miles, while the '07 RG has 10K? The WG doesn't seem to be getting much use. I'd be inclined to sell privately or otherwise the WG, pocket the cash, test ride the '08 and then decide if the '07 is a keeper or not.

If I had your scoot, I wouldnt have been interested in trading either. Awesome looking scoot, but it makes my billfold hurt just looking at it
Thanks. I really don't have that much in it - as far as my wife knows!!!![sm=smiley2.gif]
