This here.
List at your asking price and then lower the price every week or so until you start getting some bites on it. Don't wait too long though as the season to sell motorcycles is coming to a close.

A Harley was always valued more than other brands. You paid more, and when you went to trade it it was worth more. No longer. All things being equal if you start looking at comparable products for the same price point there are better business he's out there. If, your going to take a beating when it comes time to trade then you might not buy another Harley product. If, you really want a Harley then it doesn't matter.Factors like your Harley is not worth what they once were is effecting new bike sales.
But, if you buy it to keep it, resale doesn't matter. Plus a Harley Davidson can be kept running until your grandchildren retire! Not so much with other brands. Still a great reason to buy a Harley. Plus
....... well..........it's a Harley Davidson. I've owned Hondas, Kawasakis, Suzukis, Yamahas, Bultacos, even an Ossa dirt bike, but if you love Harleys like I do, there's just nothing like one.
I like a Harley also. I had three of them over the years. Would buy another one, if I can make a good deal on one. But I also had Kawasaki's, Yamaha's and a couple of Honda Gold wings which I believe is the best long distance touring bike made. And they run forever too. I never owned a BMW and now that I am getting older the RT is looking appealing. They will put the new 1300 motor in it soon and when they do, it just might be my next machine. I also like the retro Kawasaki Z1, reminds me of the 1975 my Dad owned and I took my road test on in high school. Time will tell.
