This Whole thread is pointless if we are talking about the 24's. If we are talking about 23 or earlier then it holds water. The bottom line is a lot of people did not like the look of the early road glides. But as time goes by . The look of the road glide has gotten better . And I think The 24s are beautiful , But I always liked the look of a batwing and they have a home run with the 24 SG. So I bought a 24 SG .. And I dont know what they did but the SG and RG both feel very light, They come off the kick stand like a softail. And the only reason this tread has 6 pages is because the oil section is locked closed........swifty
you do realize that it was a cosmetic refresh and is nearly the same bike? Like comparing a 13 to a 14.
Stopped by the dealer and asked which bike Road Glide or Street Glide sells better!
The salesman said right now the Road Glide by far outsells the Street Glide.
So the winner by peoples choice is ..
ROAD GLIDE
People are also doing apes on bikes with fairings the last 10 years. FLHX was a bigger seller too. Which is just an expensive FLHT. Paying more for a stripped down bike. Trends,
if you're the only one driving one direction and everyone else is coming at you, is everyone else wrong, or are you?
Depends on the rules. But probably yes, I will stand my ground.
Skratch, riddle me this: using your modus ponus logic, If everybody, except me caus I am an edge case, has a great big man bun, your argument tells me that you are gonna run out and get one too. So I feel the argument is false as you wont get one.
Modus ponus; a deductive argument form and rule of inference in propositional logic.
well, not sure what a man bun has to do with it, but...
i've been riding roadglides since 2010. i've gotta admit, i did like it better when people thought they were 'fugly', and there wasn't a whole hoop of them on the road. when i got my first one, there was only one other guy in my area who had one, and his was a 2004. even being black, i never had any problem picking my bike out of the ocean of black bikes, lol...
i guess my (poorly worded) argument is that now that people are realizing the benefits of a roadglide, that doesn't necessarily make them a 'sheeple', just smart.

One of my arguements for frame mounted fairing, is the japs do it, so it is probably better. I have road a jap one, not having it turn with bars, not once for a second enter my mind. it was a 600 pound bike and I felt the wind, but was a 600 pound bike. It had the bars within the fairing, and had excellent weather protection. Since the fairing doesn't move you can run the fairing all the way down. Which harley does not do either of.
