2016 Road King can’t find neutral

Sorry I was slammed yesterday. Here’s what finally worked every time. Put the bike in first gear, using your heel press in, shift up to neutral. Works every time for me.

Same with a heel toe shifter which is what I have.

The newer bikes I find that neutral is very quirky to find with the wrong amount of fluids. Was on my 14 and again on my 21. My 07 was way more forgiving.

Press the shifter inwards towards the motor while shifting to neutral?

I know, right? After my 40 years of riding, I now know that the shifter not only goes up and down, but sideways as well. Maybe I have an overdrive and didn't know it.

I've heard some saying that works on their bikes. It must unload the transmission some doing that. It doesn't work on my older Twin Cam Softail though.
I just gave up and hit Neutral from 2nd when coming to a stop. Habit now.
