As mentioned the HK unit had its issues ... Iron Cross is an excellent choice for repairs on the HK head unit ... Aftermarket radios offer more features ... Good Luck

You can pop the front off of the radio and there is pins in there that get dirty. You can give them a little bent outward and clean them up. Worth a try.
The pins connect the face with the display of the radio. Happens pretty often.

Iron Cross does good work and I was happy with how mine turned out. But, just like mine did it's going to go bad again. These stereos have a limited life. The solder on the curcuit boards shake apart. At 161,000 miles on my 2010 I am on my 4th factory stereo. I know I could have bought aftermarket by now, but at $50-$100 on the forum I just keep replacing them every 4 years.
