Spoke with the Dynojet rep today ( Great folks to deal with and they are even patient with a rookie to this stuff like me ) and he asked to send him a copy of the original tune file to see if he can detect anything abnormal. As mentioned in this thread the automatic compression release was set to active in the downloaded tune so he wasn't sure where the issue might be. It wouldn't surprise me that the battery will eventually be the culprit all along even though it was tested fine at 3 different places.
If it's cranking good with the original tune like you mentioned Id think it's gotta be something with the tune.
There are ways for the ACR's to work outside of things.
My 08 UC came with a 96 ci and I transplanted a built 103 into it.
Had to rig the ACR's to work without the module activating the acr's.
I'd think this would be a last resort so hopefully Dynojet can get ya going correctly.
I got on my stock 24 Road glide last week, hit the start and the engine would not turn over. I could hear the starter struggling to move but it was as if the starter was seized. I recycled the start and the bike did the same thing. I recycled a 3rd time and it never turned the bike over and suddenly the bike cranked. It has not failed since. I check battery under load, all grounds and fiddled with the BCM to see if I could duplicate the issue. Nope. I read Battery on the starter and 11 volts going to what appears to be the solenoid. (small one wire presumably a control from the BCM). That wire reads close to battery but drops to 10VCD when you select run. I noticed the fuel pump runs and never shuts off while this wire is disconnected. I find this odd.
Could be a crank sensor or a fuel pump?
I'm currently going through something similar.
Fuel pump comes on though and I can see fuel moving in the tank when the ignition is turned on too.
Bike has started up fine, run fine up until the other day and now will crank all day long and not turn over, yeah.
