Default Helmet comms

Hi Guys,
I am relatively new (for an old guy) to helmet comms so I have a question if you dont mind to those more familiar,

Do you find the battery life of the comms unit (I use a SC2 & SC1M in my Schuberth lids) restricting journey time if for example you are relying on Apple Car play for maps? (Noting Skyline is dependant on a comms connection to operate?)
What are dependant battery lie experiences generally?
Appreciated.

I have a different setup that lasts for 10+ hours, but on those rare occasions where I run out of battery I plug in a power cord while riding (and using it) and it's fully charged within an hour. Is this not possible with yours?

The best I have used for battery life is Cardo Packtalk Bold.

I always stream music and Waze navigation. I don’t think that really matters.

These will almost last me from home to Daytona, Fl which is 450 miles. I usually always come up about 40 miles short.

Another thing I have learned to plug them in while at restaurants when stopped for a meal. Also make sure you turn them off when not being used. This will give you a lot more operating time.

I know a guy that does long rides and he carries a battery pack in his jacket with a charging wire running up to the headset.

I've got an older Sena. That thing will last all day and then some. 10-12 hr day are regular when we travel, and mine nor my wife's (hers is newer) has ever run out of battery. For music, the speakers are **** unless you keep it on the mellower side, like Allman Brothers.

the wife and i have integrated comms in our helmets (sena 30k). what we do is to plug them in to charge while we are at a rest/lunch break. it only takes a few minutes to get to 80% so we aren't held up waiting on a charge when we're done eating.

we've gone over 10 hours without charging and the units did not die. low, yes, but still working. we just don't like to push it too far.
