I can't tell you which is better but Gerbing is considerably higher than Widder. I have been trying to research it. I tried on both and like the Widder (probably because it is less expensive and for me a little more versatile) but they don't have an electric sock...
If you order the Gerbing on line watch the sizing on the pants. They run extremely small. I have been told that Gerbing has an excellant warranty on their components.
There is a Honda Dealership in Litchfield Illinois that is to have a sale this coming Friday and Saturday. They are offering 20% off either one on both days.
I bought my widder about 18 years ago. If I'm leaving town , it goes. It's in constant use. I stepped on the switch this fall, thought I killed it, but a little glue and gray tape, and I,m still worm and cozy. of corse it's too small to zip up any more, but it seems all my old gear has srunk. If this vest ever quits ,I'll by another . Randy
A couple of the guys I ride with have the Widder gloves and love them. I have the Gerbing and love mine. I also have the jacket and socks. The only difference is price as far as funtion goes. I think the Widder gloves are wired in series and the Gerbings are parallel. I think the Widders are a bit less Wattage.
