LOOK AT YOUR SERVICE MANUAL /OWNERS MANUAL OR PUT IN YOUR VIN ON THE HDWEBSITE OR BETTER STILL CALL THE DEALER AND ASK. SYNTHETIC OIL GOES FOR ABOUT 6.00 A QUART AFILTER FOR 11.95 2 MORE QUARTS IF YOU CHANGE THE TRANSMISSION AND PRIMARY AND THEN THERE IS LABOR WHICH VARRIES FROM 60.00 PER HOUR TO 85.00 PER HOUR. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU A MINIMUM OF ONE HALF HOUR. TYPICAL 1,000MILE CHECH UPS COST ABOUT $300-310.00 ON A BIG TWIN WHICH INCLUDES CHANGING ALL THE FLUIDS AND FILTER.
1K check includes tranny & primary oil changes as well as engine oil & filter, check & adjust clutch cable and drive belt, tighten critical fasteners, and basically give it a good look over. (That's what they're supposed to do...)
I think my dealer charges about $250 for the 1k service.
Also- if you're even the least bit mechanically inclined and know what a screwdriver is, read your owner's manual and do all your routine maintenance yourself. It'll save you a fortune in maintenance costs down the road...
Mack- does your dealer sell synthetic for $6 a qt? If so that's a good deal because mine sells Syn3 for $10 qt and Amsoil for $15 qt. [:-]
(That's why I do it myself & pay $9 qt for Redline or Mobil 1... )

Yep, same thing at my dealer. $10 bucks for syn3. They don't sell any other oil but HD. I get my amsoil at a local guy for $9 a quart. I do my own maintainance, now, but had my first one (1k) done at a indy shop for $300.
Buy yourself a service manual and do it yourself, this way you'll know it's done right and a quarter of the price ... probably better. I don't think the '08's are out yet ... here's a list of '07 manuals.

Like everyone says...buy the manual and do it yourself... The dealers around here charge 200-330.00 for a 1000k service. Oil changes with synthetic are 100+ at the dealer and thats an oil change alone, not primary and trans.
I use Mobil 1 VTwin 20w-50 from Autozone. 7.99 qt. x 4 qts = 32.00
Chrome oil filter from HD = 13.95
Mobil 1 75/90 syn gear oil for trans8.99 qt x 1 qt = 8.99
Formula Plus primary fluid from HD 6.99 qt x 1 qt = 6.99
HD 1k,5k,10k Service kit (gaskets and orings)from indy shop = 12.99
Total parts for ALL fluids and gaskets approx 75.00 I could probably not buy the gaskets as some say they are reusable, but I like new gaskets and orings when doing it all. Do a clutch adjustment while derby cover is off, as well as inspect and adjust primary chain. I would also recommend a torque wrench for all your plugs and fastners unless your feel with a wrench is good. After all its all aluminum mostly, so its cheap insurance in the long run in my opinion......
