Drilling out baffles
Punched out stock mufflers, IMHO, sound like crap and I think you'll regret ruining them.
Don't do it.
I don't even have my stock pipes to hang in the rafters now.
Maybe I'm missing some pertinent bit of info since I'm on a dial-up connection and have opted for a simplified forum presentation. I say that because nobody seems to have answered your question. I'll answer it with "the left and right mufflers are completely different from each other internally on the '07s".
The right muffler has a series of chambers or at least a convoluted path into and out of whatever's inside. (To my knowledge the '07s do not have a catalyst system.)
The left one is basically one big hollow resonating chamber with a single tube at the rear end. The tube has a few holes in it. That's it.
Don't try to use the 2007 touring mufflers on a set of true dual head-pipes.
If you plan to just put aftermarket mufflers on and keep both your O2 sensors in service it would probably be a good idea to get a smaller baffle for the left side muffler than what's in the right. If you aren't going to use the sensors it doesn't matter.
Do you not think that is true?

Thanks for the response.
The origional poster (aldabob) wanted to know if anyone had drilled out stock mufflers.
I stated the the Fullsac conversion worked well with Stock Mufflers.
You responded with "You can't use the fullsac on stock pipes "
Would like to know how you came up with that statement.
Many many forum members use Fullsacs with stock mufflers with positive results.
I made no statement about drilling/knocking out baffles.
Sorry for any confusion

You can use the Fullsac dual conversion with stock mufflers so long as they are versions prior to '07. The '07 mufflers are completely different animals from one another left-to-right. The description given is correct. The left muffler is not so much a muffler as a vented resonating chamber. It will flow some and I guess if you were to use one on each side you might have a measure of success but certainly not like with one of what's on the right on each side.
I guess I'd take exception to the statement, technically, that you can't use the conversion with the stock pipes. It's the mufflers which prohibit success. The conversion kit is specifically for the pipes and will do what it's supposed to do in that regard but if you try to use the '07-and-up (so far) stock mufflers you will be greatly disappointed.

Has anyone ever drilled out there stock baffles.I don't have the money to change my exhaust and want the sound.Does this work and will it screw up my bike. It's a 06'road king
You can bet on the feds forcing the states to "smog & noise" check bikes within the next few years. If ya can get a set of '05 or earlier bagger mufflers, drill a 3/8" hole through the 1/8" hole in the front and rear baffle in the right muffler. You will need a drill extention for this but it works just fine. You will get a little more sound and it won't screw up your performance.

Drop by your friendly HD Dealer and ask if they will give ya a set of stock"take off" mufflers from a '07 or '08 bagger. Most dealerstrash the take-off parts and will give them to ya if they know you.
You may find that these will produce all the noise you want. I got a set for my '06 Ultra and they sound deeper, with a nice rumble since theleft muffler is basically hollow.
With either the drilled out '05 mufflers, or the '07 and later mufflers, your bike is going to run cooler and sound better than it does with those dumb-a$$ cat mufflers that came on the '06's.
