I've got an 06 Ultra, I took the mufflers off and knocked the baffle out, they were welded in, but it was no problem getting them out, helped a little on power, gave me a better sound that I wanted (just a little lower & louder). When and if I want to change the sound I will get new ones, but right now they sound ok for me, I like hearing my radio and talking to my better wife while going down the road. Main thing is to look around and buy the pipes that are right for you, my dealer did my 1000 mile check up with them like that and had no problem with it, we do not have yearlyinspections in South Carolina.
