It supports the fender, on the Street Glide there are no holes, on the other Touring models the license plate frame mounts to it. Some call it the rear rail I guess. Thanks

If you have a SG and installed the Stealth Luggage Rack, it's the part you removed to install the rack.

This might sound stupid but what happened to yours? I'm thinking of getting rid of mine to clean up the *** end.

I have a Ultra Classic and I am changing the rear end to look like a Street Glide. Mine has holes for the license plate, the Street Glide does not as the plate goes below the reat turn signal bar.

Why don't you just cut yours? I cut mine at the welds, put in a plug on each one ( $0.56 at Ace hardware) and put them back on. Now it shows the whole rear fender, gives it that smooth look.

I thought about it as well as the kit sold here but have heard it can make the rear mushy? Plus I want to keep it in case I decide to sell someday and put the tourpak back on. thanks
