Old Bagger ECM's
I have a 2002 FLHTC-I That has a Screaming Eagle Stage II Cams Intake, Exhaust and Stuff. The H-D Mechanic that did the work about 7-8 Years Ago told me last summer that the ECM Tuners he used on Several Customers bikes have been failing recently. I'm getting ready for a Long Ride this summer ( 2025 ) and would really rather not have THAT Issue on the road!! I have been unable to Locate a Factory SE ECM Tuner. Can someone recommend a Good Aftermarket ECM Tuner for my old "Geezer Glide?" Thanks

I'm confused..... if you mentioned how your bike was tuned, I missed it, forgive me...
Did he use/attach a piggy-back tuner to your bike when he tuned it?
Or... was your bike tuned by flashing a tune into your ECM....?
If he used a piggy-back tuner and attached it to your bike, you could buy a flash tuner like a PowerVision (or others). You can then flash a tune into your ECM. Then you are not dependent on the tuner itself for the bike to keep running.
But if your bike was tuned with an older tuner to flash a tune to your ECM, the fact that he used an older tuner is irrelevant. You will be good to go.
FYI...
External piggy-back tuners can go bad. If the attached piggy-back tuner fails, and you remove it, the bike will run... but the bike won't run right (or safely) until the tune issue is addressed.
A tune flashed to the ECM usually doesn't "go bad". Once a new tune is flashed into the ECM, you will have no issues unless the ECM itself goes bad....
I hope this info helps...

Oops, I just noticed I missed this...
Apparently your bike was tuned with an SE ECM tuner..
Those are not piggy-back tuners. They are flash tuners.
As far as you needing a tuner, I'd say you you don't need one, and are good to go for your trip. Unless you change your mods, you should not have any issues with your tune.
Enjoy the trip....
