The handle is 31 and 1/2 in total. And yeah, the handle is hollow so it slips over the pump jacking shaft through that machined out box. Then the squared notch on that box and fits over the release mechanism to lower it.
Thank you very much!!.. The last pics are exactly what I needed.. It's kind of modeled after a cheap automotive floor jack. Bar is 3 function. I like the ratchet lock design.
Gosh....save yourself time and money on a jack that's too narrow and too unstable....don't bother with it.
Check out your local area Facebook Marketplace for a used J&S Jack....it WAS the best on the market until they mysteriously closed their doors after screwing lots of people out of their money.
BUT its still a great, STABLE jack.....There are several listed on the Facebook Marketplace listed for prices as low as $250 with some close to the original $400-500 price.
In the end you'll be happier that you did because you'll wind up with a really fine jack that has good resale value if and when the time comes.

So you are telling to dump the jack and spend money on a new one that for some price that is going to fail and I can't get parts for?
When I don't need it in the first place? (already have one)
Also narrow sides are good to a point I can use it to lift the bike and put on a rolling stand..
Sort of.......what I was saying was the off brand/Chinese jack you are trying to "make usable" is a piece of junk (IMHO).
It's arms are too short, not far enough apart the safety stops are not the best and the wheel base is too narrow to form a secure base.......but other than that it's "wonderful"...lol.
Personally, I wouldn't trust placing my 900+lb expensive motorcycle on that lift. I know others have, but for me it's all about security, mobility and safety. Historically, there used to be a variety of lifts on the market, but but over time most have vanished leaving mostly junk to choose from.
Too bad someone hasn't filled the gap by producing a great quality one at a reasonable price. That's why I suggested a used J&S would be a better solution than the freebie lift, tossed into the deal.
