Personally, I wouldn't trust placing my 900+lb expensive motorcycle on that lift. I know others have, but for me it's all about security, mobility and safety. Historically, there used to be a variety of lifts on the market, but but over time most have vanished leaving mostly junk to choose from.

Too bad someone hasn't filled the gap by producing a great quality one at a reasonable price. That's why I suggested a used J&S would be a better solution than the freebie lift, tossed into the deal.
FWIW the jack I have does not have the welded rod stops like the HF.

I had a short jack handle laying around.. The square valve relief has a OD of about 0.790. Found a piece of 1/8 thick 3/4 ID tube. Cut 4 slots so it'd fit over the square, and a L slot for the pin and drove the handle into the tube with a little 620 locktite. Handle is short for moving but doesn't need to be all that long for jacking or messing with the valve.

The biggest issue with the jack you have is the LENGTH of the rails the frame will be resting on AND, the width between them. It makes for a very unstable lift once hundreds of pounds are raised up off the ground especially if you intend to roll it around.

That's why a better solution would be to look for a good used J&S jack....they are out there. And remember they "hold their value" so no matter how much you pay there's a good chance you'll get it all back when the time comes for you to sell it.

Just something to consider......

But IF you still want to make the one you have work, good luck and be VERY VERY CAREFUL once your HD is raised up on it.

J&S jacks now have a cult type following, with cult prices. LOL
I found mine used, locally, and paid the original "new" price for it. Before they went out of business they were $750-800 including shipping. I then found the oil drain plate that someone else had for sale.

I like the J&S so much I sold the 20+ year old BikeMaster jack after using the J&S a couple of times. I was planning on flipping it actually.
