I'm in the process ofputting V & H duals on my bike. I have two questions. First are there flange gaskets on the Harley. I pulled the factory pipes off last night and didn't see any. One jug has a little cork in it but the other none.
Also, with regards to the oxygen sensors. When transferring them to the new headers should you put any seallant on them and if so suggestions are welcome. ( I know I should have gotten the ones with the sensor holes as I'm doing the power commander and don't use them )
I remember reading someone's statement about the hardest part of this job is getting the old exhaust off, well at this point I'll definutely go along with that.
I just did the fullsac conversion and mine had a braided steel gasket. Kinda hard to recognize as a gasket but it is there. You'll need something to pick it out then replace with a new one.
A few weeks back I did the install on my 06 Streetglide including V&H true duals, stage 1 and PC III. I think and from what I have gleened off of this forum is that make sure you change your gaskets wether they look good or not, its just easier at under $9. And OH YEAH...Getting the old pipes off was a preverbial c#**k sucker !!! Good luck!

I used Napa part#35299, you,ll need two to plug the bungs, save the 02 sensors as you may want them later. Little anti seise on the plugs, case you have to remove them, and its a lot easyer to install the plugs before you put the exhast on the bike. Doc
