2000 roadking classic fuel line
a lot of info is coming up a m18x1.5 and 1 of my friends measured it as m18x1.5 but used a m18x1.5 die to see if it would thread on to the connector which it wouldn't
A few of my friends that have harleys said it wouldn't be metric as harley only use imperial which should be NPT
So not sure where to go with this dont want to use the wrong size and causing more damage to the thread

Well..... that's not completely true.
There is a small mix of metric sprinkled into the Harley bikes.
I just changed the clutch spring on my 2009 CrossBones yesterday. The clutch spring seat screws were M6 x 1 x 16mm Hex Flange Head screws. I had to break out my 10mm socket.
Unfortunately, I don't know the type/size threads you are dealing with.
