2010 Road King problem
Hi, last week nearing the end of a ride approx 60 miles I noticed both my hands were numb! Bars were high frequency vibrating and strange sound from left side of engine? Any ideas or has anyone had similar problem? Sound wasn't knocking... rather a high pitching sound almost like a super charger??? Road was smooth also....

Ok go over the bike to ck for anything loose. Exhaust ,engine mounts, engine struts even the fuel tank mounts and see what ya find
All tight Then some get a long screwdriver, place the handle against their ear, then touch the end of the screwdriver various places near where you think the noise is.
See if you can pin point an area that the noise is most prominent/ loudest.
This is one way I do it
I also have one of these which is very helpful
Just an example https://www.harborfreight.com/mechan...ope-63691.html
They are available a lot of places

Good questions btsom.. bike was serviced around 400 kilometers ago, oil is at full mark and clear with nothing remarkable to see... has cam chain tensioner replaced as well... rocker lockers were also installed as I was hearing a tapping sound after about 10 minutes riding... still do so that wasn't fixed lol... never had vibes through handlebars sufficient to numb hands till now...
.
Common culprits are wheel bearings, tires, engine stabilizer bar, engine mounts, etc.
I have changed them all at one time or another. Also, handle bar bushings. Old bikes need a little extra care...

"Oil at the full mark". Are you describing engine oil, transmission lube, or PRIMARY? There is a reference point in the primary, but no "full mark". Perhaps I'm making too big a deal out of terminology. Also, even with a flashlight, it is pretty hard to see how clean or dirty the primary lube is without draining some.
