4 amp trickle charger. I know it works because I just used it on my truck after I left my lights on overnight

Wyoming adam,
I don't know your knowledge or experience, but you keep saying "trickle" charger, so forgive me for asking this question if you are just being sloppy with terminology..
Do you know the difference between a true trickle charger/battery tender and the newer smart chargers/tenders, also called "maintainers" as suggested by GalvTexGuy?
FWIW....
The newer smart chargers and tenders will not hurt a battery, that's why they have the name "smart" in them. They avoid overcharging/cooking/hurting a battery. It has been shown that a good smart charger (maintainer) will actually add life to a battery.
