Not sure the jiffy stand or that tab scraped the ground, as no scrape marks in the pics. Another thought is somehow, someone might have "accidentally" stepped on it. Probably when getting on or off the bike.

42 years on a HD and never had a jiffy stand issue other than changing the return springs..

I would recommend getting rid of that after market jiffy stand ASAP. Having a stand that bends easily is not a good thing. Just saying.

Someone is stepping on that. Something you can do even with an OEM one. Pretty easy to bend it back...
