I rather agree with the notion that this is happening while it's deployed, not while it's retracted.

Are you stepping on it as you get on or off the bike? Are you hyper pushing it forward after you kick it out? Stuff like that.

I find that my OEM stand will bent like that A LITTLE over a period of time, but I always assumed that it was from when I have to park on a slight right sloping grade and leaning the bike to far to the right to get the stand to drag along the asphalt, might cause it to fall. I end up tapping the stand with my foot to get it fully extended before I tilt it to the left to engage it into it's notch. With my short jockey sized legs, when it gets bent like that, I need to bend it back so I can reach it with my toe to retract it. I bend it back by hand easily enough.

Yeah, me either. The only issue that I've ever had with the Jiffy Stand was with the spring.

It definitely scrapes the ground when retracted after the toe kick is bent. It does seem like it's being stepped on while down. Is there a secret ritual going around the internet to step on H-D jiffy stands just to mess with us? Just thought I'd ask.

I could reinforce the toe kick tab.

No, not stepping on it myself. I would be aware of that.

I could put the OEM one back on. This aftermarket one is 1" shorter than stock which allows the bike to sit a little more secure with the 1" lower front & rear suspension.

Just put some channel locks on it and bend it up when you need to. If it bothers you that much, take it of, let it glowing hot with a torch and cold water flash it.

Your new stand looks like it was built in a high school shop class. Don't see how that has been a mystery for years but toss it and put the OEM back on ASAP.
