I have a 2012 Ultra Classic and I need to repair the tour pack. Can someone tell me whether the material it is made of is ABS or fiberglass? I've gotten both answers at my dealership and body/fender reapir facilities. Here is a material ID # of 679 on a sticker inside the tour pack.
Thanks in advance
@DooleyQue I have moved this thread from the Welcome section to the Touring Models section as you will get better responses to your question in this section. The Welcome section is more for introducing yourself & letting other forum members know what Harley Davidson you own.
Pretty sure Harley still refers to the material of their tourpaks, saddlebags, side covers and fairings as GTX. It's not ABS or fiberglass, but is made of a nylon resin.
Here's a blurb from this site on GTX. They mention Harley as using it.
