What's up people. Just a question. Iv got a 2011 ultra limited it has a little over 46 thousand. Just did a trip in June. We put in 1400 mile in 4 day bike ran great. Have had a chance to ride again until last week. And now iv got a miss. The plugs are only a little over a year old. And its not showing any codes. But the miss is bad enough to cause the bike to die. It's done that twice now. Just see if anyone would have any ideas on what it may be or have had this happen too. And thanks in advance.
1. As above, check your plugs, they can go bad.
2. Check your plug wires to ensure they are seated correctly on the coil & plugs.
3. When was the last time the fuel filter and fuel strainer was changed? May be an issue with the fuel delivery or the rubber tubing in the tank.
4. May want to pull off your cam chain cover and inspect your cam chain tensioners.
5. Also check your battery connections (both ends) and ensure they are tight and there is no corrosion. While you are at it, check to make sure all your fuses are seated in their holders.
NOTE:
The above information, while credible, is worth what you paid for it and should not be considered gospel.
Do due diligence, research and have a H-D Field Service Manual before working on your bike.
You will probably have many opinions and suggestions presented; make sure you research the person providing the helpful information as there are some who provide good information that is useful and some who speak out of other orifices with gibberish. You will figure out this quickly.
It's erratic and I will see if I can figure out which cylinder it is. And as far as fuel filter its a little over a year. . Had timing chain cover out about two months ago when I changed out pipes and it all looked good.
Check your front plug wire where it comes down from underneath the fuel tank.. They rub the tank and will ground out.
I just put a piece of old rubber vacuum line over mine.
I seem to recall that 2011 was one of the years that experienced issues with throttle body wiring behind the air cleaner. Might be worth a Google search.
I checked a couple of things that yall have discussed. Like the plugs. Rigjt sife is front cylinder and left is back cylinder
and the plug wire is rubbing but its not rubbed threw.
Plugs look okay.
Gotta check those plug wires, do you have a meter and know how to use it?
Want to check continuity, connect both ends and wrangle the wires around to see if the resistance changes. If they do, thats a bad wire.

I am wondering if you could have gotten some watered down gas while traveling and now that the bike has sat it has settled out.
Also check the plug to the throttle body, the pins can get screwed up. Unplug and clean and use some dielectric grease on them.
