I removed the tank fuel filter on my 2010 Ultra Classic with 33k. It's the original filter, and though a little discoloration, no gunk or debris on it. No one nearby had a new one, some 'out of stocks' online, dealership nada, so I went to Amazon, and found it. Some reviews say they disintegrate, don't fit right, and on. Can I just clean the one I took out with some Stoddard or something, and put it back in?
Oh sh*t, I thought I read on here that Ronnies was stopping online order shipments 8/1. Go to Ronnies and order the filter you need. Support them while you can. They've always been good to me when local dealers refuse to carry anything other than new CVO M8 parts.
The other "online" dealers I was thinking of is actually just Harley MOCO.
Also read on here Quantum makes good replacement parts. I like using OEM but Quantum is half the cost for filter and strainer for my bike so will try them.
Just picked one up at my local HD dealer. The parts guy pulled it right off the backroom shelf.
Thank you all. Called the dealer in Jacksonville, and as you said, he pulled it right off the shelf. Honestly, it took me a while, 2 hours total anyway, from start to back together. Arthritis, and some connections just didn't want to give it up. But done. Here's the old and new filters side by side-33k. Thanks again.

Just for future reference.
IMHO..... I would not have changed that old filter. I would have put it back in just as is and checked it again at 50K miles.... It looks to be in almost new condition. I would suspect it has many, many miles left before NEEDING replacement....
I have seen filters, looking 10x worse than your old filter, in a bike that was still running flawlessly, and were changed out "just because"...

I just changed mine out the other day and it was a whole lot dirtier than that. I found one at a dealership that was open on a Sunday, about 45 minutes away. If mine looked like that one I would have saved myself the trip
