The National Hog Rally was two weeks ago in Knoxville if that is the rally your talking about. Next week is the NC Hog Rally in Maggie Valley though so you may want to stop by that one. You gotta do the dragon while your in that part of the woods 318 turns in 11 miles...a lot of fun.
If you have time ride the devils triangle, the wife and I rode it during the national ralley a couple of weeks ago and it was a blast. Can't go wrong riding it or the Dragon.

Stop by the mom and pop diner on the left, down in town and drop a few bucks in the jar for Popcorn Sutton (old timer who's house and still burnt last month and is down and out with his back). Make sure to eat while your there, then hop on the BRP for a ride.
You probably know about it already, but make sure you go to the Wheels Through Time antique motorcycle and car museum in Maggie Valley. The curator is Dale who does a burn-out in an old 30's Harley from time to time during the day. The place is loaded with all sorts of old bikes shown off in creative ways. The museum alone is worth the ride IMO.
If you get on the Blue Ridge Pkwy in Ashville, there is a neat roadside inn and restaurant on Mt. Pisgah (as I recall) just a few miles south of Ashville. Good food, reasonable prices and a killer view. Maggie Valley is the last exit going South on the Pkwy before you get to Cherokee.
The Dragon is under control of the Tenn Highway patrol. Be careful, do the speed limit, don't cross the yellow line. The Cherohala Skyway is to me a much better ride, then dealing with all the traffic on 129.
While in Knoxville stop by Biker Rags bike shop. One of the best biker accessory shops around. Also, Smoky Mountain Harley in Maryville is worth a stop as well.
Do as much as you can referenced above. I was at the national hog ralley there two weeks ago and had great rides. There was a map outline and writeup in the hog magazine a couple of mnoths ago that I used as my resource initially and then talked to a local rider for more information. Enjoy

Yeah, Smokey Mtn Harley is really a good shop. Be careful if you get on I-40....lots of construction and the roads are a mess. And I hope they have turned the thermostat down since the National Rally....105 degrees is nooooooo fun!!!!
