Just got around to it. I pulled the cover to see whats going on and was able to loosen it up and get it to work. The lever pushes in, as in, putting the lever under compression, and then pulls back toward the rear. Works great. Cycled it a few times, loosened it up and it works great. Sorry for the delay!
