Default CAUGHT IN HEAVY RAIN

My '07 Ultra runs like crap after getting caught in a downpour in the middle of nowhere. The only alternative was to press on to the nearest town. Apparently many of the electrical connections dont like moisture. Any tips out there other than dont ride in the rain?

Never had any problems and ride in the rain quite often. Typically rains most every afternoon in central FL. I use a HD rain seat cover and that is all. Might want to have your dealer check it out. Curious to see what feedback you get here on the forum.

Peace,

Tough starting, missing and bucking with a check engine light on for a while. The dealer said the opened her up and will let it sit overnight to dry out. I'm concerned that my PCIII got fried. We'll see I guess.

My SG ran fine in a heavy rain. I sure didn't like it though.

After you're certain PCIII is bone dry, hook it up to computer and reload map. That should be the only thing that gets affected because the connector port seals aren't that great. If that doesn't do it, try bypassing it completely and see how it runs. If PCIII is working after that, go through diagnostics andreset code to clear engine light.

I agree - check the plug wires.
I am spent a lot of time in the rain and have never had any issues. I did two straight days (600 miles per day) in pretty heavy rain and if that did not do it, I don't think anything beside totally covering the bike in water would.
