I'm installing a Tour Pak spoiler with lights on my 07 Ultra. I have followed directions and have the template taped to the top. I have tape on the paint where I'm going to drill. The directions say to drill a 1/16 in pilot hole through lid. Then, drill holes to finished size indicated on the template. PROBLEM: there are no finished sizes indicated on template. There are circles indicating where to drill, but no sizes indicated.
The parts list states the screws and washers are 1//4 in. I'm assuming I need a 1/4 in. hole? Drilling a Tour-Pak is something I don't want to f***up.
Any help is appreciated and any other tips on problems I may encounter would be helpfull.
Sounds like the kit has 1/4" screws.Measure the screws. If they are 1/4' dia. then I would use a 9/32" dia.(.281) max.drill .This will give you a little room for assy. and alignment.
On my spoiler template, on the left hand side showing the drilling location, there are 3 hole locations shown. The 2 for fastening the spoiler call for .31 (5/16). There is a 3rd hole between them for routing your wiring which calls for a .38 (3/8) diameter hole. You also should have 3 options for placement of the spoiler on the tourpak in relationship to the model of luggage rack you may have or choose to install at a later time.
