Default Oil dripping from A/C

I posted a couple of weeks ago that I have oil dripping out of the air cleaner. Response was awesome! But it still has oil leaking. At the time I mentioned that my last service I had drained the engine oil while the bike was straight up on the handy lift. Response was that all of the dirty oil would not run out of a bike that was straight up and that I should check that the oil was not over full. Level was in fact slightly over the top of full. I then drained it to the cold level of half way thru the slash marks on the dip stick and cleaned all the oil out of the ac and throttle body. Well I just got in from a 450 mile ride thru Vermont back to Ct and I have the oil dripping out of the ac again. Anybody got any ideas on what the h--l could be causing this?

Long rides at high rpms will cause it, especially if you already have had a slight problem with the dripping. Sustained rpms causes oil to build up in the breather system causing it to drip. There are better aftermarket systems out there to prevent the drip.

Had dealer do my 1000 mile service and they overfilled my oil over the hot high mark on the stick. Checked it when the engine was cold. Road it prior to draining the overfilled oil and found a mist of oil residue all over the back of the bike. At higher RPMs/speeds, the oil leaks out of the breather and swirls from the disturbed air surrounding the back end of the bike. Noticed oil mist around the center chrome trim of the gas tank too. I'm wondering if I need to remove the a/c now and clean it out due to it possibly being saturated. Sounds like something you are experiencing as well Lenny. Is this something we need to do at this point?

02 bikes had a plastic breather that would warp or loosen up and would release oil to the breather ports # 17650-02 will fix this on this year bikes. Run the oil 1/2 qt. low fixes many more. But the sure way is to vent the breathers to ground as mentioned above. assuming you have no blow bye. Doc A leak down test would let you know of bad ring seal or valves.
