Default Bearings blew out.

So I was out for a ride yesterday and when I was coming up to a stoplight I started hearing some weird grinding and clanking noises. At first I wasn't 100% sure if it was coming from my bike or not, so I popped the visor open on my helmet and when the light turned green and I proceeded to turn left it was confirmed to be coming from my bike. So I was going down the street and I decided I needed to stop and check it and possibly turn around and head home. I turned off of the main road and it just sounded gnarly and like my bike was falling apart and like rocks were flying up and hitting the underside of my front fender and my wheel felt slightly wobbly or funky. I got off and check things around the front tire but at first I didn't see or feel anything off. But there was something clearly off and I needed to look at it further but I was on kind of a slope so I got back on the bike and rode back down the main road to the nearest gas station. It's lucky I even made it that far. This time, on flat ground, I got down and got a better look at my front tire and the first thing that I noticed was that I could see my bearings. And I'm just thinking why the hell can I see my bearings like this. There was like a rubber seal that was pushed off away from them and I was able to push it back in place but it easily came right back out by pulling on it so it didn't feel secure at all. Not sure if there was any other seals that came completely off the bike this one little thin rubber thing that can easily be pulled in and out of there it doesn't seem like enough to protect the bearings. It looks like it's missing half of the ***** in it, and there's one or two on the bottom that seems slightly crushed and totally stuck in place.

Used my insurance to have it towed home, I'm going to have to have it picked up by the shop but I won't be able to deal with that until next month. So sadly my bike will just be sitting and not going for a ride for at least a month probably 6 weeks or so. I had it fully serviced last spring but I rode the hell out of it over the summer I went back and forth between Utah and Oregon twice. And who knows when the last time these bearings were changed because I just got this bike last year.

They should have been checked on the last tire replacement.

I would count yourself lucky. It could have been much worse.

Yep , those 25mm bearings are junk. lots of people replace them at every tire change.
I use a needle on my grease gun and remove the seal and give them a shot of grease every once in awhile. I will replace them next tire change,

Too bad you don't have a jack, it is not that difficult of a repair.

I lost a wheel bearing on my FXDL at 28k miles once when 150 miles from home, was lucky there was a U HAUL rental where it happened.

Your bike looks to be a later Touring Model with ABS.

Bearing seal blew out... How many miles on the bike? Service records are nice to have.

What are those two washer looking things between the fork and axle Spacer? Are those supposed to be there?

I'd install new wheel bearings front and rear.
.
