03 road king classic high idling
Looking for anyone who can help with a few questions on this problem a friend had with his fuel injected03 RK Classic , yesterday while heading out to ride his idle went almost to full throttle and stayed there, we checked the cables and they were fine, seemed to me like the problem might be a problem with the idle air control motor, he rode it to the dealer and they diagnosed it as a bad ecm, which replacement, programming and redyno is about $700.00. Just looking to see if this sounds right to all of you. Thanks

The traffic in this section of the forum doesn't lead so much to troubleshooting/technical things, as you noted. There are other sections where people just love to hang out and handle challenges.
The IAC, no matter what type of injection you've got, shouldn't get anywhere near "full throttle".
It's not a closed-loop system, so, well, were you able to modulate it at all with the throttle grip? Did you have a look and see whether maybe the butterfly fell off or something?
