07 SG headlight
That`s because the headlamp is aimed down to far.
I adjusted both my 07 SG and 08 FLHTCU to a proper level and now I can run at night with my shades on and still see.
Aftermarket bulbs are also a good idea, but try the proper adjustmentbefore you buy the $30.00 white bulb.[8D]
Last nite while riding with a group, someone asked if my headlight was on. Now i have always thought the low beam was kinda crappy, high beam is fine. Is it just me? or are these kinda lousy low beams, I'm gonna switch it over to a whiter blub, some of the post i have seen, Thanks

Anyone try the 2142 or 2144 Blue/white bulbs?
I live in a high deer kill zone. I set my spots to shine slightly to left and right, and slightly down on the left side, rather than straight ahead. Thatreally made a difference as far as lighting up the ditches. Down on the left side to not blind oncoming traffic.
Also, on this site under "Electrical and Lighting," is the schematic for wiring them to be on all the time, whether or not you are on low or high beam.
To set your light using high beam, have the bike level, with the normal weight of one or two passengers on it, depending on which way you ride the most. I split the difference, which works well.
Measure 25' from the contact patch of the front tire, to a vertical wall. Draw a horizontal line on the wall exactly the same height above the floor as the center of the headlight. With bike upright and perfectly aligned, the center of your high beam should be centered on the line.
Take a screwdriver with, find a county road with no traffic and a center stripe. Drive right down the center, and align the low beam left/right with the center stripe.
That's about as good as it's gonna get! Note my post about spots. A little bit of deflection right or left makes a tremendous difference in lighting up the ditches!
Finding a white commecial garage door with a level parking lot is the perfect place to align lights, as most home garages are shorter than 25 feet and driveways are seldom level.
