This is a GENERAL REQUEST, only using the above as an example, not a personal attack. The internet is practically an entire universe, an answer like that is almost like saying the information came from the Andromeda Galaxy. The SPECIFIC source would indicate the believability of the answer, AND give others a place they might check when they need information. Product preferences are typically a bit short on information also, saying "I like X" without the REASON is also pretty useless. I see this quite a bit in tire and headlight reviews. For tires, the reasons for liking one and not another can be important. Some want high traction, others want long wear, some like crisp handling, others prefer a cushy ride.
It was the bearing. I replaced the sesor and still got zero on the AC test. I replaced the ABS bearing and all is good. Physically inspected the old bearing and it appears to be good, no damage or anything. The magnetic ring insode must be damaged. I can change a front rim like a NASCAR pit stop now. I had that thing off at least 8 times!
There is a way to eliminate teh sensor or bearing, hind sight 20-20.
Condition:
Ohms Test, Good
AC test, Fail
With a scanner check your wheel speed
If "Zero" the sensor is good and the bearing is bad, replace the bearing
If "No Reading" the sesnor or its wiring is bad, replace the sensor, repair the short
Side note correction:
The ABS and Non-ABS bearing are different in size. Sorry for passing bad intel. My punishinet will be watching the View for 10 hours.
