Default Abs

Default AbsHello all,

My 2014 limited ABS acted up the other day. When I pulled the front break lever it sorta kicked back a little then it felt like it was pulsating rapidly
until the bike stopped. At that time my bike through 2 codes 1, C1021, ABS Front WSS Always Zero and U0121 Lost Comm W/ABS.

I'm thinking change the front WSS and ABS wheel bearing.

Thoughts,

thanks everyone.

Write codes down. Clear them see if they come back. Check wire for any damage.,look over sensor real well make sure it is not dirty. If it lost comm it would like be something other than bearing.

thanks, I have the codes wrote down. I tested the WSS with a multimeter set to AC current, spun the wheel and got nothing. Not sure but it seems if
it was working I would have gotten some kind of reading. Checked wires, all looks good. I have not cleaned anything yet. Will do this afternoon.

I have heard of too much anti-seize on the front axle tripping the wheel speed sensor out, just throwing that out there.

I took it out yesterday. First I cleaned the WSS area real well. Hit it with some air pressure and cleared the codes. took it for a ride. The ABS light stayed on but all was fine until about a 1/2 hr later.
I went to use my front brake and bam, lever was very hard to pull, bike didn't want tp stop. I hit the back breaks and they didn't really work. I got the bike stopped.
After stopping the abs light went off and again, all was good for about a mile. Hit the brake and light came on and brakes were ****. This time it through these 3 C codes.
1021.1025,1029 , . the 1021 says " front WSS always zero " the 1025 says " front wheel speed intermittent " and the 1029 says " wheel speed difference to high " I'm thinking the front WSS started to work and then failed again. I got it home and I disconnected the front WSS. it through a code, c 1032 says " front wheel speed circuit open/shorted. I'll test ride it again. I think I should be ok now that the front is disconnected. I believe ( correct me if I'm wrong ) but that should shut down the ABS totally. ?? Thoughts ?
