I spent a few hours this past weekend trying to install a set of V&H Big Shot full duals on a '07 RKC. I had a few problems thatI overcame but I noticed this morning that the rear cyl. pipe which runs over the primary on the left side is real close (about 1/8-1/4") to the pri. cover. I'm wondering if this is normal. I have everything bolted together - I haven't started her up yet but I'm wondering if it's going to vibrate hard enough to hit it. The bolt that holds that little bracket which the "T-Clamp" mounts to is so tough to get at that I would probably have to take the wholepipe off in order to adjust it if that's the problem. But everything else fits fine.
Thanks.
Dog, did the same install a few weeks ago and had the same concern, the pipe is damn close to the primary agreed! However got about 1k miles on the bike since the install went back after a couple hundred and tightned everything up and the pipe stayed right were it started, no rub no vibration noise just real tight. My question is how much of a pain in the **** was it getting the t-bolt thru the transmission mount??? I used standard pipe clamps because I couldnt get the damn mounting bracket loose. Good luck and enjoy they sound great on mine almost too loud thinking about the quiet baffles now.

Well the ongoing saga continues: Last night I had a few minutes and did the Arlen Ness Big Sucker A/C. Went on pretty easy except that the gasket holes were off about an 1/8 inch. I'm an engineer so these things really get me a little pee'd.
In reply to streetmed - I had 2 big problems - 1st was/is the bolt/saddle which gets attached to the starter bracket. I couldn't get the rear allen head bolt off in order to put the new V&H bracket on - finally did. Then the install with the "T-clamp" did finally get that on but like I said before it makes the pipe pretty close to the primary cover and its ugly! The 2nd problem was spreading the chrome clamp supplied over the 02 sensor mounts - this was ridiculous! I finally inprovised and used something to spread the clamp wide enough, then I forced it over the exhaust pipe - not the 02 sensor - took a big plier then forced it close. Attaching it & the bolt to the mount under the tranny was easy. And the 3rd problem was getting the rear bolt off (and back on with all of the washers)of the rt. floorboard. It was real close to my jack stand and the wires ran over the top of it. But thats it - I used all of the parts and bolted everything the way I was supposed to - I can't wait to install the Fuelpak tonight and start her up!
you need some long extensions with a wobble end like the snap on one....all of your bolt gettin to probs on the floorboard and starter allen would be solved
Had mine for 18k and no problem. Byran, you said you took the started bracket off.. Do that not cause for more stress on the lower brackets?? I am not fond of that bolt sticking out like it does. And I don't want to cut it off..
