10 years ago when I was researching seats it seemed every Corbin had a locking mechanism. I ride a Corbin Solo seat and am in the market for a 2 up seat so researching again and I keep finding Corbin seats without the locking mechanism. Like Pretty much ALL of the Corbin seats listed new and old dont have the locking mechanism . I thought they all did for the past several decades. Am I crazy?
Look at Robert Becker seat locks, readily available. I have them on both bikes, zero issues. None of my Corbin seats came with locks, didn't want them. Have you tried calling them?
I agree with SnoRider, I bought the classic solo for two bikes, a 2008 and 2015 Road Glide. Both had locks.
I just looked at their website, the classic solo still comes with the lock through 2026.
it's stated in the last paragraph in the description.
The lock must be model specific.
Yeah, wishing my solo seat didn’t have a lock because changing out the hardware when switching to the 2 up is a pain in the ***. So I either find a brown Corbin 2 up with a lock used (because I am cheap and can’t pay full price) or modify my solo somehow to remove the lock. Or buy a brown Corbin solo without a lock. Weird to me though that I am coming across all these seats that don’t have the locks. I thought they pretty much all did (the Corbin seats).
Why don't you get a passenger pillion for your classic solo? That is what I use when my wife wants to ride. Actually its been on for a few years along with the tour pac 100% of the time.

I would if I could find one. Actually I would get a pillion and dual tour. But I like brown leather and I like used. Tough combo to come by.
I had/still have 2 Corbin seats on 2 different bikes in the last 6-7 years, I never bought a lock with either one. I do remember checking it out as an option but I did not buy one with either seat, looked to me like it would rattle around and be annoying, I've never had a seat stolen.
After thinking on it a bit I think I figured it out…
I think they come standard on the solo so that the design doesn’t require you don’t have to use the hardware to secure the rear. The seat then covers and hides the hardware. Slide the rear into a bracket and lock the front down instead of sliding the front in and bolting the back down.
