I use the Sears yellow jack. The bike can rock, but no real issues so far!

Sears yellow this past weekend was on sale for $149.My yellow has a bit of wobble front to back. Very nerve wracking the 1st time. I removed the saddle bags and all the junk out of the tour pack and it was much more stable.

I have been using a yellow one from Harbor Frieght for over 3 years now (paid $89.00) and other than the no-so-smooth let down, its been fine. I move it all around the garage and only tie it down when I pull a wheel off. I do always lower it into the lock position though. Never had any problems, but there was a high pucker factor at first.

I go from the front fork fender mounts or handlebars on the front (depending on what I am doing) and the rear crash bars to the tie down loops on the lift.

Just bought the J&S jack here: http://www.jsjacks.com/

This jack works great. I can climb on the bike while it's up. I'll post picks later.

Also bought the wheel chock for parking my bike. I love it too. Pics later.\

On the same concerns in 'relli's post. I have the Torin 'Black Jack' (red in colour) from Costco. It's rated at 1500lbs, has an outrigger type arm on each side for stability and two arm type locks that after the bike is on the lift you release a bit of the pressure and these two arms fit into one of the openings in the frame of the jack.

I'm really nervous about raising the bike up on it for winter storage for fear of it falling off. All I want to do is to raise it up enough for the tires to be off the ground and the weight off the suspension for the Oct.-May layup. My jack looks like the others I have seen in the pics so I'm confident it will do the job but I'm still nervous about doing it considering this bike has cost me a lot of $$ to buy and I don't want it falling from an insecure jack and being damaged. Can anyone reassure me everything will be OK. Thanks.

Tom
