Default Bit the Bullet

Well, I have been rolling with a Corbin solo seat since 2016. I’ve had a few of them, all I bought used for $300 to $400. One even came with the touring passenger pillion and passenger backrest, another the rider backrest.

I like brown leather so they are difficult to find used.

I had a brown close model, it came with the pillion and backrest. It was too close so I sold it for about $400.

Then I found a standard in brown and it has been tearing at my heart that I sold the pillion and passenger backrest previously and now that I have a girlfriend, its killing me.

So I have been searching everyday for a brown pillion.

Ended up checking eBay today and found a brown solo seat, touring pillion, and passenger backrest all matching in brown for 750, 870 with tax and shipping. Pulled the trigger. By far the most I have ever paid.

As I mentioned I was in at about 300 to 400 on all the other set-ups, but this new set-up only has 500 miles on it.

Not sure how I am feeling. Guess I need to list my current Corbin solo and stocker seats to make up the difference. At least now I will have a good looking solo and matching passenger set up and I wont have to swap hardware every time she wants to ride.

Not as excited as I should be…probably has something to do with the cost of living in Washington State…

That's why motorcycles are a lifestyle. They cost too much to be a hobby.

The possibility of getting a new bike haunts me every time I buy something for the one I have. Then I go back & forth on committing to the one I have & just get the parts I want, or maintain it as-is and save up for a new one. Then there's the bigger maintenance costs that come with higher mileage with more back & forth debate on trading it in before it's time to do those things, and if I keep it, more possible upgrades because "might as well while you're in there."
