Hello
New to post can someone tell me whats the defferents between a road king and a ultra classic?
andif I stripe down my 2003 ultra classic will it bacicly be a road king or will it look stupid?
I just picked up a2003 that has been in a crash and all the touring package is damaged so I was just wondering if I striped it if it would look like a road king thanks for any help

The electra glides (the ultra classic is one) have the batwing fairing with instruments mounted in it. The road kings have the (sparser) instrumentation on the tank, and have a removeable windshield. Other than that and some minor fork innards (to deal with the extra weight on the forks of the electra glides) they are basically the same bike. Don't know exactly how different the headlight casings are. The glides have the tank fill in the center, where the speedo is on the kings, which have the tank fill on the right and a fuel gauge or dummy cap on the left.
What you want to do will likely most resemble the street glide. Or the electra glide standard, if it doesn't come with a trunk (I forget just now).
It can be turned into a roadking all you will need is, a Different tank with speedometer, front end parts that include upper covers brackets and headlight assy., seat, and a knowledge of how to re-wire everything up. This will get you close to that look.
