All I can say is wow, but if I had to be critical, which is difficult lets see uh one time had to turn on off cause it froze no biggy, uh one time had to look at detor route witch was In my mind better, uh had to go on the zumo site to download file so it would transfer stuff from map quest thingy to zumo(10 minutes). oh yes,,it might be a little too much of an overkill for me but who knows?

It is one of those things you can live without. I rode for 30+ yrs without one. Got a Z550 for my birhtday just before a 3000 mile Smokey MT., SE US trip this past month and it is Sweeeet. Need gas,a hotel, drugstore, food, and nothing in sight? Punch a few buttons wait 10 secs and it will take you to the front door. Comes with every thing for cycle or cage. Laid out trip, all back roads prior to leaving. Miss a turn, updates in seconds to get you back on course. Only problem I have had was that it would not accept download from Map Source to GPS. Took about an hour on ph. with tech support. It was a software problem they took me thru corrections step by step. If you get one I believe you will love it.
You know, I read this post and saw 'drugstore' and immediately thought, wow this must be an old guy. LOL Then I realized that I always make sure before a trip, that I have enough of my back medication for the duration I will be gone. And, if I need to order it before I go, so I will have it ready when I return. Very sad I am. At 35, I am falling apart.

As far as a Zuno goes. Man, I want one. The wife is giving me nothing but a headache when I mention it to her. We live in Albuquerque, NM. A small town, compared to some. She says I would never use it here, and she is probally right. And with kids, we seldom take a road trip on the bike longer than an overnighter. We take a lot of family trips, but never longer than what we can drive in a day. I have three days off a week (usually), and we have been everywhere around that I can think of to visit. Do you all think that I really need a GPS? And, if so, how can I convince the wife that "we" need one? Help!?

How does the Z550 communicate to the rider? Is it wired into the HD Advanced Audio System? Thanks.

you can wire it you your input port to get the directions or MP3 to listen to. as far as the bluetooth i have not tried this yet would have to guess that you would have to have an intercom set up on your radio as well in order to speak to the other person. the zumo comes with 2 cradles one for the bike and one for the car. the car one is already good to go for the bluetooth but is not water proof the one for the bike has no external speaker so you have to utilized the radio or some other audio system such as autocom. I have used it on long trips and in the rain with no major problems. I did have it lock up on me one as well but just turn it off and back on it was fine. only other things is the bike cradle comes with a rubber cover that cover the contact pins on the bottom of the zumo. This cover tends to rot out pretty quick mine did in about 3 months some others ive heard sooner and some later. all you have to do is contact garmin and they will send you a new cradle. all in all the unit does what its suppose to do just like any electronic gear you get they do have the occasional hickup. Abe's of maine has both the 550($643) and the 450($479) for sale believe the only difference is that the 450 doesnt have bluetooth and xm capabilities. Heres a link http://www.abesofmaine.com/search.do
