Took my bike in for a safety check as I am planning on selling it. It is a 2006 Roadking with only 10,000 miles on it. They tell me it needs a new front engine mount. My question is, is this a normal thing? We front engine mounts a problem with this year of bike?
You found out from the dealer checking it? You didn't notice any excessive vibration? I've heard of them going but usually people complaing of excessive vibration and then bring it to the dealer. I don't have excessive vibration, but maybe I should check mine.
Dealer replaced my front engine mount on RK Custom (04) in May of this year under warranty - and I had no warranty - so it may depend on the dealer if they cover it. See if you can push them to replace under warranty.
If it,s broken it needs to be replaced ,I got the new inproved mount she shook so bad under my feet at the same time it got a broken exhust stud , Try telling that to a dealer. I took the very hard mount off and order one from J@Pfor half the pricenever had any trouble with vibrations again. http://home.myspace.com/Modules/Home...8-ea2ac1f06e65

Turbo.
Do you happen to have a part# ? I just replaced my front motor mount with the "improved harley" version,
and it vibarates and buzzes through the floor boards so bad now, that it might as well be a solid mount motor.
