Fairing Oil Temp Gauge Question-Chrome ring removal
Just installed the Wally World oil temp gauge. Easy install and works great. My problem is I wanted to replace the chrome ring that goes around the gauge so it matches the other gauges. The stock ringwould not come off for me nor the black ring on the wally gauge. I gave up and installed it with the black ring. Is there any way toget that ring off? Just don't look right with 3 chrome and one black rings.
RE: Fairing Oil Temp Gauge Question-Chrome ring removal
I put the HD unit in last weekend and just bought another pair of rings with the gauge. I put it on with RTV sealant. I think the pair was only $8.00 with the dealer discount. I made a up a couple of wiring harnesses and moved the volt meter to the POS air temp gauge location and put the oil temp about the oil pressure gauge. About a half hour job.

Thanks Hogair. Is the ring a OEM or aftermarket part? I looked in the catalog but couldn't find anything.
