J&S. I had my Ultra Classic up on the jack as high as it goes, about 18 inches, closed the garage door and noticed that the antenna got caught in-between the garage door panels. Opened the door and the antenna stuck between the panels dragged the bike on the jack at a high rate of speed across my garage floor coming to a sudden stop. I thought for sure I'd see my Ultra take a fall, but it was rock steady, no straps, just sat there...I'm sold on this jack!

I've got the yellow sear's jack and am totally satisfied. Since I don't have much garage space, I use mine most every day....small footprint when the Ultra's on it so it's easy to get outta the way, I put it on the jack every time I ride. Have heard about others having concerns/issues with stability/longevity...I've only strapped mine to the jack once so far, it's plenty stable enough to jockey around the garage without straps, and I've found as long as you don't overtighten (crush seals) the handle (or lock) when you start raising the bike that the seals last years and years and it's easier to control the rate of descent when it's time to get the bike off of the jack. I'm guessing that when it comes to bike jacks/lifts, it's alot like opinions about pipes/seats/speakers/ECM modules/etc.....each rider will best decide their own options and make their decision about what fits their needs. My decisionwas based on forumreview (actually did a search lol), budget, and overall use (mostly routine maintenance and cleaning at first...then daily to save space). I got lucky about a year agao and found them on sale at a Sear's Hardware store and had a company coupon to use as well...got it for $109. Totally satisfied (for my needs) and happy with the cost.

I have a J&S jack and have been extremely happy with it. It's very stable and easily fits under my bike:

relli,

I went back and looked to be sure the title said "Motorcycle Lifts." I'm thinking of taking my Sears Redjack and doing some stabilitymodifications to turn it intoa more stable unit like the Pitbull. Even though I built afull size lift, having a stable floor jack is a must.
damnnnnnnnnn you made that!? wish i was that talented. thats a nice lookin lift

I have the table lift you see in the attached pictures setup on one side of my two car garage. I leave it there all riding season and park my Ultra on top when I pull into the garage. As for a cycle jack I store my scoot on top of my red Sears jack all winter. I push it to the side in the garage and just cover it up.

When its time to store the lift table for the cold weather I just remove the two side extensions and push it under the tool bench. I can then park my cage inside for the winter. Works for me...[&:]

Hi,

I assume you have the red jack from Sears. Do you feel it is a safe jack? Would you say it is a good jack? I have an 07 softail. Will this jack fit under the bike?

Thank you,

Kayak
