Picked up my SG on Friday and I was all smiles today. I have a sundowner for two up riding but still looking for a solo seat. Not sure anyone is making the 08 solo's yet. Oh ya found out the hard way that the abs works. Some tool was flighing out of a gas station and acted like I wasn't even there.
Anycomments on how the ABS performed? Still kicking around the idea to go with ABS or not. May need to unlearn 20+ years of emergency braking and manuvering.
I got my 07 SG in June. Took a little getting use to it, rode a 92 FXSTC and 94 Heritage Special, an 89 Wing w/Bushtec, and last but not least a 78 Kaw LTD 1000.......... all at the same time. I am now sooooooooooooo liking my SG. Yep, it is a tad rough on bumpy roads but the dang thing is nice. Getting some better/real speakers SOON, a J & S jack, IDS, solo seat, and am kicking around a custom paint job from JE Illusions. He ain't cheap but neither is his talent.
Welcome to the Streeter club. I've heard some say it's the flavor of the month..... I don't think so, it did not take another Terminator movie to make it so well loved. I liked the FB way BEFORE the movie made it so popular. I have not and will not add one piece of chrome, in fact, I am going to change out the front forks, guard bars etc for black ones. Again, congrats on your new ride! Enjoy. Joe.
