Finally going to do it. Almost bought an 07 but cancelled at the last minute. Looking at the candy red. I am going to have them put the 103 kit on it and roll it all into the financing. Also thinking about newpipes or mufflers. Question is should I have the dealer do the whole ball of wax or wait on the pipes. There a few good V twin shops in my area. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks
GO WITHTHE DEALER AND YOU WILL RETAIN THE WARRANTY. INDEPENDENTS CANNOT DO WARRANTY WORK ON A HARLEY WHILE IT IS UNDER MANUFACTURES WARRANTY. SOMETHING GOES WRONG AND IT CAN GET EXPENSIVE.
You sure you want to roll your upgrades into the financing? If you are getting a heck of an interest rate, sure. But, if your credit is anything like mine (mine sucks, BTW. LOL), the interest you would pay could buy a lot more stuff. I paid cash for my bike, but if I was to finance another one, I would want to pay cash for any modifications. Usually the price break you get on accessories (at time of purchase) can be paid for with cash, and not rolled into the loan. Just a thought.
Now, about the bike. AWESOME. If you are talking about the all candy red sunglo, I am very jealous. Next to my black pearl, that candy red sunglo is amazing in person. When I first saw the color (on a SG), it was the only time I really concidered trading in my bike. IMO, it is one of the best colors (other than some custom paint) that HD has EVERY come out with. Again, JMHO. LOL (So all you vivid black guys, lay off. LOL)
Thanks for the input. As for rolling it all into the price I was thinking of convience. Finance bike, pick up bike, ride bike. No trips back to the dealer for the upgrades. No missed ride time. I usually ride year round, so I don't want to bring it back to the dealer for a week or two. Getting ready to pull the trigger very soon I'll keep you posted on how it turns out.
